peerlesschrysanthemumSVSSS is my very first danmei + xianxia, so I'm doing my best but I'm very much feeling like a tourist about being here.
In general, and especially for texting or lightly meta memes, the canonpoint will be post-canon unless otherwise noted! (Basically a couple weeks post-wedding.)
Canon*, and post-canon threads equally welcome, aside from AUs! Canon divergence or otherwise; check below for some suggestions. I'm also open to doing pseudo-jamjar threads by borrowing a game's setting, or just making something up. (If we're doing this, I'm not interested in power nerfing/removal.)
More post-canon-leaning ideas; identity and System reveal (the former could be with or without the latter, and with or without 4th wall-breaking levels of detail in what's revealed, too). Generalwifeplots adventures, as well as exploring the "in-betweens" we didn't get to see when it comes to the extras.
*For canonmates who aren't Binghe, I think I'd be most interested in the timespan from the moment of transmigration up to Jinlan City in terms of threads set in canon. (For Shang Qinghua or Luo Binghe though, any point of canon is good!)

I'd be more than happy to play with that if a RP partner wants, because it is a different sort of fun/interesting angle to what's suggested of the System originally (or if we want to take Bingzu and run with him in some other way).
-I'm honestly happy to go with any level of Binghe suspecting or being aware of what's up with his (new) shizun, or not, if he should be completely unaware. Aside from what the new extras say, there's always Binghe's comment(s) about Shen Qingqiu knowing "too much", especiallu regarding the Holy Mausoleum, and part of his speech even back in Huayue city! Since, really, it's definitely more that it's Shen Qingqiu who is obviously going to be hard to crack about confessing the truth and really confirming if Binghe is right or not for him. It's clearly SQQ who's more worried about what the reveal of not being the same individual as Shen Jiu - despite that he doesn't like being thought of as him lol - will do to Binghe/his relationship with him rather than this being an actual problem.)
-otherwise, the new names and general details of Shen Yuan's family will be acknowledged!
-Died on the 21st September 2014... also, thus, on his 22nd birthday.
-174 cm/5'8" tall ; so shorter than Shen Qingqiu's 184 cm.
-Brown eyes, but a lighter shade than Shen Qingqiu's darker brown.
-While it absolutely was not what was intended, it amuses me, so; plain Shen Yuan does actually look somewhat similar to Shen Qingqiu, just like he says the mushroom body does thanks to the blood that had to be used. Shen Yuan is prettier, in a softer way, compared to Shen Qingqiu's more severe elegance (that yet gets softened up when Shen Yuan is inhabiting the body thanks to how he is just a different person).
-I'm not necessarily married to the fanon idea that Shen Yuan was chronically ill, so I can take or leave it for any given thread. But since I can also see why it developed and do also kind of like it, when it's taken into account he's immunodeficient, and so (very) susceptible to infections. He has weekly intravenous treatment for his condition, but that's about it for the limits put on him, aside from needing to be careful about getting sick.
-Studying/just graduated for a bachelor of literature at Peking University. (I'm thus taking that most likely a joke at Shang Qinghua's expense about having taken the entrance exams seriously, because why not). He'd intended to major in Chinese language and literature but ended up choosing Business English for reasons of the family company instead. (But he's still been dabbling with the other major on his own time.) Shen Yuan moved to Beijing for his university studies.
-His oldest brother is seven years older, the second is five years older, while his little sister is four years younger than he is. The family is from Hong Kong, but since the handover they also have homes in Shanghai where the mainland headquarters for the company are.
-Even when/if he doesn't have a full on fanon Binghe shrine, I still headcanon he's got some things, which are: both login and regular desktop screen are set to Binghe fanart, and he's got at least one nicely printed and hung fanart on the wall lol In addition, taking inspiration from the new extras where he had that Benben hair tie custom made, he's got several black t-shirts with Binghe's zuiyin on them that he custom ordered himself. They're usually his bottom layer and/or part of his sleepwear. Similar to the Benben hairtie thing he also has custom made/orderedBinghe's fursona a number of tiny black cotton puppies with the zuiyin on their forehead which he uses as phone charms.
Canon divergence:
-Endless Abyss AU; Shen Qingqiu ending up getting himself and Binghe into the Abyss somehow.
-No Endless Abyss AU, with some other way for Binghe to lose his seal, or simply not ending up in the Abyss and having to deal with the fallout of being revealed as a demon, or any variation on that.
-From Jinlan city and/or the Water Prison, or Binghe's return in general. I do love me a good truth serum trope... ;)
-Connected to the above, maybe something like this?
-From/during those five years Shen Qingqiu is dead/stuck unaware in the mushroom body; being dragged in earlier into Binghe's dreams, perhaps. (SQQ being some sort of asleep would make sense, after all.) Or AU where the mushroom body plain doesn't work out in some way/the fertilizer SQH added fucking things up and Binghe's attempts to call on Shen Qingqiu's soul thus work/end up as inadvertent rescue and the Mausoleum's resurrection array with the body has to be used.
-During the House Arrest chapter, maybe? Dragging that part out could be interesting!
More straight up AU:
-Shen Yuan ending up transmigrating into someone else; if it's someone in Cang Qiong, I'd default to an OC on either Qing Jing (as shixiong or shidi) or Qiong Ding Peak. For another canon character, maybe Ming Fan? For something set later in the canon (and maybe more fitting with Bing-ge), Gongyi Xiao would be a fun possibility!
-Soulmate/Red thread! There's already an element of this in canon given Madam Meiyin's fortune reading, but I'd love something where it's obvious from the start with an actual red thread tied between SQQ and Binghe. (The thread coming into existence either upon transmigration or even existing beforehand are both good options.)
-Role swap AU? Whether that's "PIDW was always about peak lord!Binghe and his being exposed as a (half-)demon in a fall from grace and rising as the demon realm's saintly ruler and taking revenge" or "Shen Yuan inexplicably transmigrates into an AU version of the PIDW he knows" - the latter might be more fun, I think, since he'll be more in the dark and get taken by surprise when certain canon events still stay the same (like the Endless Abyss).
-Shen Brothers AU in some way? I have some thoughts on connecting that to Shen Yuan transmigrating into an OC disciple if it's of interest. (Or other familial connection! Or even no real connection but something happened during transmigration and now there's Two of Them. Also wouldn't say no to 'PIDW!Shen Jiu gets to reverse transmigrate into the Shen family and now has to deal with his little brother being Weird About Luo Binghe'. Right up until Shen Yuan has to deal with 'my prickly brother is the fucking scum villain' that is.)
-Shen Yuan transmigrating into Qing Jing Peak's spirit beast (going with an AU where all the peaks had one); maybe with flavours of The Disables Tyrant's Beloved Pet Fish?
-Omegaverse; could be fun, though I'd prefer SQQ as either a beta or an omega, whether he's hiding it or not. I would absolutely not say no to him being changed into an omega if he starts out as an alpha, though.

❁ ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: CET and while it depends, I try for at least one tag every day. I also prefer tags that are at least a couple paragraphs long if it's not a texting meme of some sort; I tend to lose interest otherwise.

Height: 184 cm / 6'0"
Gender: Male
Age: Appears to be in his late twenties. At the point Shen Yuan was transmigrated in, Shen Qingqiu was in his early thirties; at the end of canon, the body's physical age would be early forties. Shen (Yuan) Qingqiu himself, however, is ~28 at that point, and was 22 when he died and transmigrated in.
Hair: Black, pin-straight and hip-length.
Eye colour: Very dark brown.
Build: Slim and long-limbed. Doesn't look muscular at all, but is stronger than he looks (and can use his cultivation to at least temporarily be even stronger).
❁ DEMEANOUR: On the surface, coolly aloof and with minimal facial expressions. However, Shen Qingqiu comes across as a lot warmer than he thinks/knows, and even his small smiles are rather easily picked up on, even when/if hidden behind a fan. He also gestures a lot, but the fan he usually has at hand minimizes this. Even his sour expressions and glares generally don't reach the edge of the original Shen Qingqiu.
❁ APPEARANCE: Graceful and precisely put together. Handsome in a sharp-featured way, but he wears these features in a gentler way than Shen Jiu did. His hair is worn half-up with a bun in hair crowns or with pins, along with a decoratively long ribbon. (It will admittedly be more elaborate and neater whenever Binghe has helped him.) He usually wears hanfu in pale greens and white, which, to anyone who would know anything about that, aren't closely historically accurate to any particular dynasty. They're very elaborate, however! Always has a fan on his person (unless he's dropped it somewhere...); his preference is a silk base with an ink-wash painting of a mountain scene.
❁ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Bruises and rough handling, small cuts and even broken bones don't need to be discussed. Shen Qingqiu will of course defend himself, and he's competent enough, especially at a distance. (Shen Yuan, however, has no fighting experience.)
❁ RELATIONSHIPS: This man doesn't know shit about squat. Presumed himself straight until Binghe took a sledgehammer to that. Bisexual, possibly; gay, even more possibly. Definitely Binghe-sexual!
(To be more serious; demisexual and gay, but his being Binghe-focused remains.)
❁ PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Doesn't necessarily have any natural defenses to this (certainly cannot put up any resistance/escape by himself when in Binghe's dream realm or against Meng Mo or original!Binghe when he went into his dream realm to go through his memories), but if you're diving into his thoughts that will still be... chaotic, at best, probably. Good luck. He curses a lot more internally than he does externally.
❁ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Plain human, but a cultivator who's reached mid-core formation for his golden core, so he's a lot more resilient in general, immortal* and he's got access to a number of magical skills driven by spiritual energy. (In his brief stay in the mushroom body, a lot of extra spiritual energy.) One of his favourite attacks is weaponising a usually aesthetic-only skill to turn leaves razor-sharp, and depending on how hard they're sent flying, inflict anything from shallow cuts to carving flesh from bone (or cut your nails!). Technically, Shen Yuan should have no magical ability at all (real world etc.), but I'd like to headcanon he does have spiritual veins, even if he has no clue/can't utilise them.
*Immortal here being very long lived (~500 years) unless and until he might achieve ascension; can still be killed.
❁ MEDICAL INFORMATION: Post-canon, healthy as all get out and unlikely for that to change due to Relationship Perks lol. During canon, chronic illness in the form of Without-a-Cure which will periodically stagnate his spiritual flow (and the flow of blood, if it further goes untreated).
Shen Yuan is healthy, unless headcanon chronic illness (immunodeficient) is applied.
❁ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Internalised homophobia, comp het, bullying and child abuse. I'd say his death(s) but he's got that so firmly repressed and joked away it'd take quite a bit for that to actually crack him.
❁ SHIP PREFS: Binghe! (Bing-ge or Bing-mei.)
❁ SEXUAL CONTENT: Certainly! Perhaps a bit of lead-up instead of jumping straight to it, though, for now.
❁ BACKTAGGING: Absolutely.
❁ THREADHOPPING: Sure, as long as I know beforehand.
❁ FOURTHWALLING: Within the context of Proud Immortal Demon Way being a novel, certainly! Probably not when it comes to Scum-Villain's Self-Saving System, however. (Exceptions might be made for very meta memes.) Shen Qingqiu will also mentally fourthwall anyone and anything, since from his POV he's from the real world and he'll assume anything fantastical or from recognizable canons are fictional. This won't be expressed out loud, however.

❁ OTHER NOTES: From the donghua I'm borrowing Shen Yuan's choking to death, the System countdown at the Endless Abyss, and his being named "user 2" (if only at System startup).

Bridenapping..! (Either AU/Canon divergence OR within the context of a public/official redo of their wedding.)
General post-canon Shizun-in-Distress shenanigans. Specifically, it always leading to Shen Qingqiu tied up in various ways, because Binghe's bondage kink is subtly informing the way these things play out. (They would happen either way, though. It's just a bonus~)
While I'm not into Mpreg as such (and I can't see Bingqiu actually getting a child until, maybe, at least after a couple decades or marriage, if not even later than that), I do think it'd be funny to play with the "we thought that was just something demons could do" comment from the Childhood extra. But specifically make it something Heavenly Demons are capable of doing, with the right intent + dual cultivation. (Especially since I am thoroughly convinced that PIDW would've absolutely had at least one "this woman is completely infertile but wants a child! ... and Binghe of course gets her with child, because Heavenly Demon cock" incident.)
Heavenly demon blood use in general! It's such a neat power, and I want it used as much in smut as in non-sexual situations!
Binghe calling Shen Qingqiu 'wife' in general, outside of sex. (Or Bing-ge doing so for Shen Yuan lol)
